Week September of 25th - 29th

Don't forget to log in to xtramath.org at least three times every week. New week always starts on a Saturday!
Your goal is to get 90% of the problems correct each time. ( green dot by your name) It will be posted in class every morning. This may be a new routine for the students to get used to doing.
We went to the lab several times last week to practice.
Monday: Renaissance Folders due back signed.
Tuesday: Study SS
Wednesday: SS test on map skills including review from last test (using map scale and directions) Study definitions of vocabulary on Sum it up pages in SS folders!
Thursday: Did you turn in your summer reading lists yet? Please do!
Friday: Math Topic One Test

NEW YORK STATE map projects handed out last week. Due Oct 11th!
(only 18 x 24 in size, poster sized not 8 1/2 by 11. I believe that is about half a sheet of oak tag)
Don't forget to begin with the end in mind and get a head start!
Do not glue a picture of a map on poster paper, do not type out words for your child...they need to put their best effort into a project. Research proves that writing things done improves comprehension and memory. You can help them sketch the out line but let them be creative with how to present. Several examples were shared in class!
