Week of October 30th - November 3rd

Monday: RF due signed. Math quiz returned signed.
Tuesday: Topic 4 Math test Halloween Parade at 2pm
Wednesday: 
Thursday: Send in Read to feed leaves and donations tomorrow.
Friday: Field Trip Money due. Chaperones will be picked for the field trip. If you are picked you will get a letter explaining what to do. Thank you for all the volunteers. Over 15 of you volunteered to help. We only need four. We are also bringing a nurse with us for the children with epipens.

Sachem Public Library will be in the house on Friday for fourth graders! They will be providing some great hands-on fun and learning opportunities for us on Friday!

Reading is part of nightly homework. Please read with your child, ask them about what they are reading and make sure they are reading!

Thursday: Study science
Friday: Water cycle test!

Reading is part of homework every night. Everyone should be reading their independent books for at least 20-30 minutes. This is the same book they are bringing back to school each.

Wednesday: 
Thursday: What is matter? test  on Solids, liquids and gases and changing states.
Friday:  Topic three math test, know the definitions of standard form, digits, word form, place value, digits and word form.

Don't forget to send in permission slip for field trip with $9. Chaperones will receive a letter if they are chosen 11/6.
If you chaperone, you will be busy at a station inside then tavern and helping the students with some of the activities throughout the trip. 
It is not a "be responsible for students" kind of chaperoning.

Tuesday:  R.F. due signed. In school Assembly for students.
Wednesday: MAPS DUE TODAY! Picture Day! Topic 2 Math test today.
Thursday: Chapter 7 Lesson 1 Atmosphere and weather test today!

Decorate Writer's Notebook!
NEW YORK STATE map projects 
Due Oct 11th!
(only 18 x 24 in size, poster sized not 8 1/2 by 11. I believe that is about half a sheet of oak tag)
Do not glue a picture of a map on poster paper, do not type out words for your child...they need to put their best effort into a project. Research proves that writing things done improves comprehension and memory. You can help them sketch the outline but let them be creative with how to present. Several examples were shared in class!

Week of October 2nd - 6th

Tuesday:  Signed Math tests due back. 
Wednesday: 
Thursday: PTA Meeting at 7:00pm
Friday: Topic 2 math test next Wednesday. Lesson One Science test next Thursday. EARLY DISMISSAL Be at the bus stop or school 15 minutes early!
